VerifyArr vs TrustMRR: which verified-revenue marketplace should you use?

By Naser, founder of VerifyArr. Prices and features checked on both sites on .

VerifyArr and TrustMRR are the two marketplaces where a startup’s revenue is read straight from its payment provider instead of typed in by the seller. The difference is the business model. VerifyArr is free for everyone: no listing fee, no commission, no paid tiers and no ads. TrustMRR is free to join its revenue leaderboard but charges $29 to $499 to list a startup for sale, a 3% fee when it sells, and sells sponsor placements and visibility boosts. In return it offers more payment providers, built-in escrow and a larger community.

This page compares the two on price, ads, verification and features, with every TrustMRR figure linked to the page it came from. I run VerifyArr, so read it as a founder’s comparison rather than a neutral review, and check trustmrr.com yourself before deciding.

What is TrustMRR?

TrustMRR is a public database of verified startup revenue with a marketplace attached. Founders connect a payment provider with a read-only key, and the site shows their MRR, growth and churn on a leaderboard that updates about every hour. Startups can also be listed for sale, and the sale runs through Escrow.com once the purchase agreement is signed. It was built by Marc Lou, the maker of ShipFast and DataFast, and launched in November 2025 (ExitBid’s review). Its site says it has over 15,000 startups listed, over 3,000 of them for sale, and around 200,000 monthly visitors.

Beyond revenue, TrustMRR profiles can show traffic from Google Analytics or DataFast, Search Console data, GitHub activity, tech stack and marketing channels. It also has a social feed, founder chats, a co-founder finder, Telegram alerts, legal templates (APA, LOI and NDA), an affiliate programme and an MCP server for AI tools.

What is VerifyArr?

VerifyArr is a marketplace for buying and selling SaaS, mobile apps and other small software businesses, where every revenue figure is read from the founder’s Stripe or RevenueCat account. Every startup gets a free public page with verified MRR, 30-day growth, monthly churn, customer count and a 12-month chart, whether or not it is for sale. Listing it for sale is free too: asking price, reason for selling, what is included, and buyers message the founder directly. VerifyArr does not hold funds or provide escrow; buyer and seller close the deal between themselves.

It is built and run from Sweden by one independent founder and launched in 2026, so it is younger and smaller than TrustMRR. What it has instead is a strict verification model, a public market report with a downloadable CSV, a free JSON API with no key, free valuation and MRR calculators, and no paid placement of any kind.

How much do VerifyArr and TrustMRR cost?

VerifyArr costs nothing for sellers or buyers. TrustMRR is free to join its leaderboard, charges $29 to $499 one-time to list a startup for sale, and takes 3% of the price plus Escrow.com’s fee when it sells.

What a $40,000 sale costs the seller

  • VerifyArr: $0, plus whatever escrow service you and the buyer choose to use, if any.
  • TrustMRR: the listing tier ($29 to $499), the 3% marketplace fee ($1,200 on $40,000) and Escrow.com’s fee. TrustMRR’s FAQ says the fees are split 50/50 between buyer and seller, so the seller’s share would be around $600 of the 3% plus half the escrow fee, on top of the listing tier.

The gap is the price of the parts TrustMRR runs for you: the escrow, the legal templates and the larger pool of buyers. On a small deal that can still be a meaningful share of the price. Our comparison of Flippa alternatives works the same $40,000 sale through Acquire.com, Microns, SAASALE and Empire Flippers too.

Does either site show ads or sell placement?

VerifyArr has no ads, no sponsored slots and no paid ranking: the browse page sorts by MRR, growth, multiple or price, and “best deals” are simply the startups priced below their category’s median multiple. Its privacy policy rules out advertising and third-party tracking cookies as well.

TrustMRR sells a sponsor spot in side panels across the site from $399 for 7 days, and its Growth and Scale listing tiers buy 5× and 20× visibility, with Scale pinned for 30 days, according to its FAQ. That is a normal way to fund a free leaderboard, and the revenue figures themselves are not affected by it, but it does mean that what you see first on TrustMRR can be the startup that paid most, not the one that fits you best.

How does each site verify revenue?

Both require a read-only connection to the payment provider and resync about every hour, so on either site the numbers come from Stripe or RevenueCat rather than from the seller. TrustMRR supports many more providers; VerifyArr is stricter about what it accepts and what happens when the connection breaks.

If your revenue runs through Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Shopify or Whop, TrustMRR can verify it today and VerifyArr cannot; you can leave your email to be told once if your provider is added. If you are on Stripe or RevenueCat, both work, and VerifyArr lets you choose whether buyers see exact figures, an MRR range or only the badge. Our guide to verifying a startup’s revenue before buying explains what a provider connection does and does not prove.

Which features does each site have?

TrustMRR has the longer feature list: community, legal templates, escrow and traffic data. VerifyArr covers the marketplace basics plus public market data and tools, all free.

Which should you choose?

Choose VerifyArr if you want verified revenue in front of buyers without paying anything, now or at closing, and you are happy to agree the contract and the money transfer with the buyer yourself. Choose TrustMRR if you want escrow and legal templates built into the sale, your revenue runs through a provider VerifyArr does not support, or you value the larger community and are willing to pay for the listing and the 3%.

  • Selling a small SaaS or app on Stripe or RevenueCat: VerifyArr costs nothing at any price point, which matters most on deals under $50,000 where fees are a large share.
  • Showing revenue publicly, not selling: both are free for this. VerifyArr adds the choice of a range or badge only, and a free badge for your README or landing page.
  • Buying: browse both. Both are free for buyers and both show provider-verified numbers. VerifyArr’s stats page and API let you check the market’s median multiples before you make an offer.
  • Revenue on Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Shopify or Whop: TrustMRR, until VerifyArr supports your provider.
  • You want someone to run the closing: TrustMRR with Escrow.com, or a broker for larger deals.

Can you list on both?

Yes. VerifyArr does not ask for exclusivity, and a read-only key connected to one site has no effect on the other. Many founders put their startup on every marketplace that fits and talk to whichever buyers turn up. If you do, keep the asking price the same everywhere; buyers compare. For the wider picture, see where to sell a SaaS under $1M.

Frequently asked questions

Is VerifyArr really free?

Yes. There is no listing fee, no success fee, no commission, no paid visibility tier and no card on file, for sellers or buyers. The terms promise at least 30 days’ notice before any fee is introduced, and no fee on a sale that was already agreed.

How much does TrustMRR cost?

Adding a startup to TrustMRR’s verified revenue database is free. Listing it for sale is a one-time $29 (Starter), $199 (Growth) or $499 (Scale), and a sale carries a 3% marketplace fee plus Escrow.com’s fee, split between buyer and seller. Sponsor placements start at $399 for 7 days and a dofollow link add-on is $19, according to TrustMRR’s FAQ.

Which one verifies revenue better?

Both read revenue from the payment provider through a read-only connection and resync about every hour, so neither relies on screenshots. TrustMRR connects to eleven providers; VerifyArr connects to Stripe and RevenueCat, computes MRR, growth, churn and customers itself from the raw subscriptions, refuses keys that can write, and removes the Verified badge if syncing stops for 48 hours.

Does VerifyArr have escrow?

No. VerifyArr verifies the revenue, publishes the startup page and connects buyer and seller; the two of them agree the price, the contract and the handover, with an escrow service of their choice if they want one. TrustMRR runs the payment through Escrow.com after the purchase agreement is signed.

Can I list my startup on both VerifyArr and TrustMRR?

VerifyArr does not ask for exclusivity, so you can list on both and on any other marketplace at the same time. Connecting a read-only key to a second site does not affect the first. Check TrustMRR’s own terms for its side.
