SaaS valuation calculator
What a SaaS or app with your MRR, growth and churn tends to be listed for. Type your numbers and the calculator shows the ARR, the multiple, each adjustment and the range. No sign-up.
- ARR (MRR × 12)
- $148.8K
- Base multiple
- 3.0×
- Adjusted multiple
- 3.4×
- Growth: strong+12%
- Churn: moderateno change
Base multiple is yours. When VerifyArr has enough live listings in your category, their median is offered here instead.
How does this calculator work?
It multiplies your MRR by 12 to get ARR, applies a multiple of ARR, and widens the result into a range. The multiple starts from a base and is adjusted up or down for growth and churn, the two figures buyers of small software businesses weigh most after revenue itself.
The base is the median asking multiple of live listings on VerifyArr when there are enough to compare against, taken from your category if it has enough listings and otherwise from the whole market. When there are not, you set the base yourself. The adjustments and the ±15% spread are the same either way, and they are the same ones the sell page applies to verified figures.
How do growth and churn change the multiple?
Each figure falls into a band, and the band moves the base multiple by a fixed share of it. Growth and churn are monthly. A figure you leave blank makes no adjustment, so an unknown churn is not treated as a bad one.
| exceptional | 10% and up | +25% |
| strong | 5% to 10% | +12% |
| steady | 1% to 5% | no change |
| flat | 0% to 1% | −8% |
| shrinking | under 0% | −25% |
| low | up to 2% | +10% |
| moderate | 2% to 5% | no change |
| high | 5% to 10% | −12% |
| severe | over 10% | −25% |
Worked example: $12,400 MRR is $148,800 ARR. With a 3.0× base, 6.2% monthly growth (strong, +12%) and 2.4% churn (moderate, no change), the adjusted multiple is 3.36× and the range is about $425k to $575k.
What multiple should I use?
Use the VerifyArr median when it is offered: it is the middle asking multiple of startups with verified revenue that are for sale right now, so it reflects what sellers in this market are actually asking. The market stats page shows the medians by category.
If you set your own, start from multiples you have seen for businesses like yours and remember they are asking prices. Our guide on how much a SaaS is worth covers the ranges marketplaces publish and how buyers move within them.
What does the estimate leave out?
- Profit and costs. Two businesses with the same ARR are worth different amounts if one spends half of it on infrastructure.
- How much depends on you. A product that needs the founder for support, sales and every deploy sells for less than one that runs itself.
- Customer concentration, contract length and annual prepayments, which change how safe the revenue is.
- The buyer. A strategic buyer who can cross-sell your product pays more than one buying cash flow.

Frequently asked questions
Is this SaaS valuation calculator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and stores nothing. The only request it makes is for the current median asking multiple of listings on VerifyArr, when there are enough of them to quote.
What multiple does the calculator use?
When VerifyArr has enough live listings to compare against, it uses their median asking multiple of ARR (annual recurring revenue), for your category when that has enough listings and otherwise for the whole market. Until then you choose the base multiple yourself; the growth and churn adjustments are applied on top either way.
Is the estimate what my SaaS will sell for?
No. It is a range built from asking prices and two of the factors buyers weigh most, growth and churn. A sale price also depends on profit, how dependent the business is on you, the code, the customer mix and who is buying. Treat the range as a starting point for a conversation, not a quote.
Why ARR and not profit?
Small SaaS and app businesses are usually listed as a multiple of annual revenue, because profit is hard to compare when the founder pays themselves nothing and expenses are a few subscriptions. Buyers still ask about costs, so have them ready.
How do I get a valuation from my real numbers?
Connect Stripe or RevenueCat on VerifyArr with a read-only key. Your MRR, growth and churn are read from the account and the same calculation runs on them, so the range is based on verified figures instead of what you typed.
